Recycled T-shirt Halters

Today, I took a couple of old t-shirts and made them into halter tops.  I didn't want Alabama on the front, so I made the back the front.  It worked out fine.  I turned the shirt inside out, as well, because there were some paint splatters on the front.

2 Recycled Valentines

Over the past week I have been working on some egg carton flowers inspired by Michele at MicheleMadeMe.  Clay did some of the painting, but they are going to his sisters in Arizona.  I finished them today and here they are:

Recent Work

I recently finished my first rug hooking project.  I have it on my dining room table.

Here is a small refrigerator magnet I made for Kim.  It represents Brandt and Kim's cat Mr. Butters.

These are a pair of thrift store shoes for Clayton.  I decoupage-"d" comic strips on them.

Here's a picture of my sweetheart cat, Cezanne.  The chair mat underneath him is my second large(ish) rug hooked project modeled after Cezanne.

Recycled Leather Bracelets

Delia from Delia Creates had a terrific post of recycled accessories. I took her cue and went crazy. I have probably 10 more in the works using old buttons. I gave away a couple, but hope to sell some at a craft show this summer.

Green Neck Warmer

Here's my first neck warmer. I have to admit I took the idea from another artist. I gave this one to Corey and she seemed to love it. Corey gave me the button, the felt is from a recycled sweater, the fleece is new and the flower was made from an old curtain,

Pretty Blues

This week, I made a couple of gifts for a family member. Thanks to Tom H. for his 0ld pants! The neck warmer is made from a recycled wool felted sweater, ribbon, fabric scraps, felt, and a fused glass piece I made.

New Hats

I bought this green handmade hat from a crafter and then went home and made 2 of my own. The red one at the top is one of mine. I haven't photographed the other one yet.

Successful Show- Plowshares Fair

My show was a success! I still have a ton of inventory, but I sold quite a lot. I'm going to update my Etsy.com site in the next week. I'm busy with lots of other things....

ReDone Duffels

These are some of my recycled monster bags I made this summer. I have a few more in the works and bought some "new" fabric from the thrift store today in the form of a curtain and a table cloth. I am looking forward to making more and selling them at the Plowshare Fair in December.

Anthropologie Inspired Purse

I loved a purse from Anthropologie and saw this blog post from Happy Together and thought I could make my own version, too. I bought a purse from the thrift store and hooked through strips of fabric I had in my studio.
