Christmas morning

You know how Clayton is non-compliant when pictures are being taken, so these are the best I got. He loves all of his gifts and received a ton of books. We miss his grandparents, sisters, Madeline and Alexandra and all of our friends and family in other parts of the US. We're all alone this Christmas. Boo, hoo. Matt's making deep dish pizza for dinner (Chicago style...) and he made a wonderful dinner last night (salmon, potato pancakes with shrimp for an appetizer).

I love the winter weather...

We went out to sled today, but Clayton wanted to play on the playground and take a walk more. His hat is supposed to represent a monster, but people have been thinking he's a land shark. There he is posing as one.

Growing Up

Clayton woke me up this morning because I heard the pitter patter of little feet down the hall. His bedroom is downstairs and the door was closed. Great. Now he can get out of his bedroom.

So, I put him down for a nap today and a few minutes later he greets me in the living room. Great. And he wouldn't go back down for a nap.

Needless to say, I didn't accomplish everything I wanted to today. Plus, I really needed a nap.

Fuzzy Wuzzy

I had a craft show on Dec. 4 and 5th here on base. It was pretty slow, but I did manage to sell a few items and recouped my entry fee. The purse at the top is a special order I got from at the show. It's my favorite so far.

Clayton decided to have some fun with my underwear today. We had to get out of the house, and when I took them off his head (using it as a teaching moment), we counted 20 panties.

Matt's Promotion

Matt was promoted to Major yesterday. It was a really nice ceremony and Colonel Gibson gave a glowing speech about him.
