New Monster

...in the form of a hat. I have a bunch more in the works and I need to order some more plastic eyes to get them finished.

Zoo Day

Clayton is checking out the mama gorilla trying to take a snooze.
Here's a rather gross frog. Clayton was uninterested.

Gotta love the cats!

It was a beautiful day and it got to around 80 degrees. Nice day for the zoo. Clayton refused to be still to pose.

Mosaics

I just found a few photos of some of my mosaic stepping stones I made before we left Baltimore. (I don't think I have posted these already.) These were made from broken dishes and leftover tile. I gave them away, except for the peace symbol. I have 2 more that I have almost finished. I kinda forgot about them in the basement. I'll post those later.

A Gentleman

Joyce and Tom say that Clayton behaves like a gentleman when they babysit. We are so proud of him. This is from the night we went to see the Bears vs. the Broncos a couple of months ago.

Thrift success - less than $20 for all of these

I went to the Goodwill store today and couldn't resist a whole load of books. Most are for Clayton, but I will be giving away a few. One that is not pictured is a Moosewood Restaurant cookbook that ended up $4.24. (We may end up living in Ithaca, NY next year and we love to eat there) The first photo shows the 84 cent books. (the Pooh book pack had 4 of the 5) The second photo was the 42 cent books (Oh, The Places You Go was $1.69) and the third are the 25 cent books. I got a military discount, so I saved 10 or 15%. Clayton is well stocked with books. Most of his books were thrifted.

Below, is a photograph of a tree outside our house that looked beautiful because it had a quarter inch or so of ice crystals. The day before we went for a walk and saw all kinds of spider webs coated with crystals. Very beautiful. Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of those.

Newest creations

I designed a puppet like my other monsters. It's lined. The purse is for my friend Mary Ellen's child. I think I already photographed the other purse she ordered. These will be available on my Etsy.com site soon.

Vegetable Gratin

The CSA provided us with so many veggies and I used a bunch in a vegetable gratin. It was yummy and I still have some leftover.

Jewelry For Sale

I'm so excited. I just got a call telling me I can sell my jewelry at one of the craft shows I am doing next month:
Pine Creek Holiday Bazaar

I have a LOT of jewelry and I would love to sell it! There is some for sale at my Etsy.com shop, but I have much more.

Elmo Toy

I made my own Elmo toy with the template from Toy-A- Day. I'll have to print it out and make it so you can see it. Here's the PDF. Stay tuned.

Park Fun

yt

We went for a walk and then ended up at the park behind our house. Clayton shot the picture of our feet, with my help.
