Progress and Bummer

I made several back packs this week in anticipation for a craft show this weekend. I tried 4 times to download that top back pack and it finally worked. I'm not sure I will get to participate because I haven't gotten any further information from the organizer. If not, I will be showing at the Monument Farmer's Market. I made some fused glass monsters, too, but I have to wait until the bails are dry before they are ready to sell or photograph. They'll be ready in time for the show. There are a couple of pics of my last show display. Near the en of that show my earring display fell to the ground due to the wind. A couple of my pendants broke, so I decided to redo all of the cards for display and make repairs on the shutter display. My tent isn't long for this world. It's starting to bend on 2 legs.
Then, this morning I awoke to a windy day. I went outside and realized that we left the umbrella up last night. The wind took the table and sent it flying. The glass table top broke into a million pieces. The kiddie pool's 2nd ring is popped. (the top one never stayed inflated from the start.) I'm having a bit of a bummer day today.

Patio on it's way

When we moved again on base, in the fall we were very disappointed that we didn't have a patio or deck as promised. So, we decided to build one ourselves.

Matt has finished the patio! I'll put the final picture up soon. We've been under the weather lately, so it's been slow going. I'm going to dig some dirt in the woods and fill in around it. Matt's supposed to put up the fence this week. I can't wait to be able to go outside and not chase after Clay.

House Progress

Here are 2 videos to show you the progress of the renovations. We didn't win the Martha Stewart contest needless to say. Go here to see finished pics of the kitchen and then here to see the whole house. It's on the market, so buy it, would you?

Interesting Attic Finds, or Trash

Here are some interesting finds in the attic. The previous owners saved the bottles, jars and containers from the 1970's. There were cologne bottles, liquor bottles, Hershey's cans, vaseline jars, Noxema jars, aspirin bottles... you name it. Someone was a little strange. The boxes in the second photo were filled. All together there were probably 15 boxes.

Living Room Renovation Art

Here are some closeups of some areas in my living room. As you might guess, they need to be covered up. The view out the peep hole in the front door is there, to0.

Home Renovation

Our dining room and kitchen are DONE! I can't show you the dining room now because it has a lot of the elements, okay, junk, from the living room in it because the living room is being rewired. First I will show some of the BEFORE pics and then you can see the AFTER shots. Matt did the electric, installed the cabinets, added the moulding... I did the wall treatment. Oh, I need to add a close up of that. Matt and I did the tiling. I am so glad it's done. I can't even begin to tell you how happy I am.

I need to retake this picture without the flowers in the way of seeing the sink.
We're going to put a cover over the radiater. Matt's supposed to make it.

You can catch a glimpse of the "devil" cat. This morning I turned my back sitting at the table eating my egg and ham sandwich when Cezanne lifted my ham and took off with it. The other day he knocked a lidded pan of brownies off the counter, broke it in a hundred pieces, but managed to eat a portion of them.

Here is one of the doors in the house I refinished. It's not supposed to look perfect. It's from 1921, after all.
Here is the counter top. The photo isn't clear, so I'll replace it soon.

Let me know what you think. Add to my blog. :)
